I may have said this before, and it probably won't happen anytime soon (if ever), but I think it'd be pretty cool if Nintendo did a remake of Mario Paint. And maybe the Mario Artist series. They could even include their own wireless mouse.

Depending on whether Nintendo wants a touchscreen in their next console or not, a new iteration of that series wouldn't hurt. Also, who needs a mouse when there's a touchscreen?

Well, if it does have a touchscreen, I hope they also include a stylus.

I think I've talked about this before, but Coco Park is one of the most bizarre instances of game design I've ever seen, it's supposed to be the easy stage with no hazards; no pits; no big jumps; barely any boost pads, so on, but because CTR is significantly more platforming-based than other kart racers, it ends up being one of the most difficult - or at least most frustrating - courses on virtue of not having any big jumps or pits and all the corners being too soft to perfectly drift on.
Sleepy bedtime question: What are the qualities of competitive smash that you love?

The idea of seeing a community turn something not meant for competition into something that is. The idea persists between games as far apart as Melee and Brawl.

Given that games like Dark Souls also aren't meant for competition despite a closely integrated PvP component, you gotta admit, the Smash community's dedication to competition is impressive on that alone.

I always appreciated that almost everything in the Smash competitive scene has history and context behind it - especially things like terminology, which uniquely is almost entirely distant from terminology used by the wider FGC.

Like, when you stop to think about it, terms like "friendlies" or "johns" are so iconic to Smash specifically at this point that it's kinda wild to still see them being used as opposed to more traditional FGC terms replacing them. It's cool.
