I think I'm too Wario x3-pilled but as I get older a lot of the stuff about Smash (especially "modern" Smash) actually really does rub me the wrong way. Almost everything he says I agree with: The people-pleasing marketing and rosters, the fact that it acts more important than it probably is (you know the "epic orchestra" and crap introduced in Brawl), the wacky balance of many of the newcomers (but ESPECIALLY third parties), you name it. Hell a lot of these grievances could apply to a lot of "crossover culture" in general, especially in the realm of "let's make characters fight each other."
